Are you recove...[12:35:54] James Cotton: Hey Jonny! Are you recovering any sense of balance in your views on the MON affair?? I agree he's dobbed you in it!! I know he blows very hot and cold, emotionally driven, etc, and it doesn't surprise me he's resigned, regardless of timing for which he gets most roundly and fairly criticised, however I think the bloke will be in high demand, as clearly he's a fantastic motivator....BTW so funny how Sven is now linked to every post available, eg manager wanted at Bushey Social Club, as the first name the press mention and the least likely to actually be offered the job!!!James Cottonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5801923422895102629.post-90387781376120303062010-08-10T22:48:35.586+01:002010-08-10T22:48:35.586+01:00I think perhaps you give O'Neill too much cred...I think perhaps you give O'Neill too much credit, but then grace and mercy are wonderful characteristics, so good for you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5801923422895102629.post-39195163063783330272010-08-10T12:52:45.396+01:002010-08-10T12:52:45.396+01:00very good.
I'd also point to the fact tha he...very good.

I'd also point to the fact tha he had a transfer budget las tyear which he broke and disappointed the board since he could only generate funds from the sale of gardner for 3.5mm in Jan after he brought in Dunne, Collins & Warnock just before the season started.

This summer we have a number of 40k+ a week players we need/want to sell and yet no-one has any interest in them. That's not impressive transfer activity even when you can double your money on a milner. Our wage bill went up to 72mm last year that's up from 50mm the year before....just not sustainable when you can't shift the deadwood (sidwell, luke young, curtis davis, reo-coker,etc). Lerenr has invested 180mm on top of the 64mm he paid for the club and if MON thinks he should just plough more money irrespective of his poor transfer record then he was a fool. They weren't impressed with the transfer activity and think that's why Faulkner to over that part of the business. MON is old skool and don't think he like losing control

agree that we are now in the mire because we can't the RIGHT manager even if we wanted him. I think they should run the ship in house until the best candidate is available. Moyles wouldn't walk out with 3 days to go even if we wanted him. Might have to tread water until Jan or longer.......

I caught a coupole of mins of sky sports last night and i found merson so irritating to suggest we'd likely end up bottom half of the table! ar5e hooooole

rant overReubennoreply@blogger.com
